Being able to converse is the essence of a male pick up. Some master pick up artists are able to k close without even speaking. However for the vast majority of us we will focus on DHVing though what we say.

Story Telling Structure

In order for storys to have an effect you must have them in some sort of structure. You need an introduction to the story or lead in. This is why your telling the story “Oh my god that reminds me of the time when …”. You then need the body of the story. This is where you talk about what happened in your story. It is also where you embed your DHV’s to trigger the attraction switches. The body of the story should focus more on feelings and reactions rather than events. e.g you can talk about “the fight between these two girls outside, there was nails and hair going everywhere” or to focus more on feelings and reactions you can reword it “there was this fight outside the club, and you know how its usually between two guys, well I thought it was but when i walked out there I was shocked … It was two girls! They were vicious screaming at each other”. And finally you have the conclusion, this can be your final thought, punchline or moral to the story. e.g “and that’s why you shouldn’t trust little old ladies”, it can be anything. The great thing about stories is that you are creating interest and focus on yourself while also embedding DHV’s though out the story and building attraction.

Another great tool you can use in storytelling is suspense. This really hooks people into listening to your story. Use suspence towards the conclusion of the story. Also talk at a calm pace, dont rush your story, ensure you use pauses.

Threading

To master the art of conversation you must be a master of multiple threading. A thread is a topic of conversation. For example a discussion on traveling is a thread. You can start new threads at any time during a conversation, however you should always aim for smoothness, that is to begin new threads that are relevant to old ones. For example you can be talking about being in a town your whole life, then you discuss that you would like to travel, this can lead into the thread of travelling. A better way of threading would be to have multiple threads going on at the same time. So as you talk about being in the same town your whole life you can pick up a new thread about travelling around the world, then come back to the original thread about your home town, then discuss this really cool event you went to in your home town. That’s three threads that you have just went between. Of course you would want to DHV in each of those threads and talk about interesting topics.

Multiple threading is a great way to hold interest in a conversation, it demonstrate social intuition, and has the ability to take the girl on a strong emotional journey. To observe a master threader in action just watch an hour long comedy act. Comedians are great at this. The will start on one story, and during that story they will branch off into other stories in a seamless way.

Hooks

Hooks are topics that either yourself or other people in the group will touch on. For example if I was talking about my ex girlfriend who I had met overseas the hook would be travelling overseas. This is another area of conversation that I can begin a conversation on. Hooks are great because if you run out of things to converse about you can pick out hooks in what the girl(s) are talking about. If she was talking about how she was so drunk at the concert last week and her friends had to drag her out and take her home you can pick out the “concert” hook and discuss an awesome concert you attended where something funny happened, or you can pick out the “look after” hook and talk about how one time you sister was really drunk and you drove out to pick her up and looked after her. There are often many hooks within conversations and you should always be looking out for them to multiple thread.

 

Passion

Girls like guys with passion. When telling stories about your self or anything that you are genuinely passionate about then express it. Allot of males are usually very inexpressive and withheld. However if you are talking to females they look for passion about who you are and what you do regardless. This is a great technique to hold attention and mold emotional states with people you are talking to. To display passion you have to speak like you mean it. Don’t be afraid to get into character for this one. Use your voice and gestures to really explain feelings, emotions and thoughts.

Emotions

To guide a girl though courtship you must guide her though various emotions. When talking to a girl don’t just stick on one emotion with her. Most guys will try and be comforting and rapport seeking. This is why when a Pick Up Artist (PUA) starts a conversation we differentiate ourselves from the herd and break rapport to create curiosity and interest. However throughout the stages of a pick up you must take her though a variety of both positive and negative emotions. This will help build a connection between the two of you.

 

Holding Attention

This is vital to every stage of the game. You have to keep the focus on you, being the most interesting person around. There are many techniques we use here. That we have already discussed.

 

• Voice Modulation
• Gestures and Body Language
• Passion
• Multiple Threading

 

Interrupt

It is easy to get interrupted whilst conversing. This can be deadly within an interaction as it will take attention off you. If the person interrupting is an obstacle (a friend of the target) then you will have to include them in the conversation. If you are half way though a conversation and the obstacle is very loud then you may need to start a new conversation to include the obstacle, dropping the old one (you may be able to come back to it later). If the person is not an ostical and you can keep the attention of the people you were already talking to then continue on. Just try to face the interrupter every now and then whilst conversing to include them in the group (unless you don’t want them there).

Frame

Frame is the general subtext of what is going on. It is the shared understanding and meaning of a conversation. For example if I said that it is a nice day today, the shared understanding between you and I would be that today is sunny, has clear weather and is a positive experience. If you accepted that frame (the ideal that it is sunny) then you would agree, or maybe even continue on and say something about there not being a cloud in the sky. If however you said to me first that its a bit gloomy outside, you are then setting the frame that it is dark and cloudy. However I can re-frame what you said and say, yeah but its usually pretty dark out here today’s a pretty good day for these parts. I would be rejecting your frame and replacing it with my own, of which you would likely agree too. When people have different frames is is usually the strongest frame that is accepted.

If you wanted to hold the frame that you are an attractive guy that girls enjoy you can mention ex girlfriends or previous hookups. If the girl doesn’t disagree with what you are saying then she is accepting the frame that you have had previous girlfriends or hookups.

This also works well if you are using direct game. If you say something like “you look really stunning tonight, and I’m not just saying that because I want to get in your pants, you really do.” if she does not object to the part about wanting you to get into her pants then she is accepting it as a fact and allowing you to escalate forward.

Gambits

Gambits is another word for games, they are small things you can do to build attraction. Its good to mix it up and show that your not all about stories but you can also have fun and play games.

Boyfriend Objection

Girls may during an interaction mention her boyfriend. Weather they truly do have a boyfriend or not, they will only ever do this on purpose. If you get the boyfriend objection this is not always a bad thing. There are a few reasons she would do this:

1. You are showing too much interest in her before she has shown any interest in you.
2. She may have friends around and doesn’t want too look bad talking to random guys.
3. She may like you but wants you to know she has a boyfriend.

If she ever mentions that she has cheated on her boyfriend or on previous boyfriends then she is giving you a large IOI. She is practiacly saying she is willing to sleep with you.

Whenever a girl mentions a boyfriend the best way to react is to disregard what she said and continue with the conversation. She will expect you to change your tone after she mentions him. Be the cool and calm guy who doesn’t care.

Alpha Male Other Guy (AMOG)

You will often run into people we refer to as AMOG’s. These are other guys in the group or who come in from outside the group and act like the alpha male. This can be hard to deal with as they will often try push you around. If the guy is inside the group try and make friends with him. Girls wont like it if you cant get along with other males in her life. If he is external then it is fine for you to conspire with the other girls about him “my god you must get guys like this coming up too you all the time, how embarrassing”. If you are ever insulted by another male you should always remain nonreactive. This is a turn on for women, they love a guy who doesn’t care what other people think.
