In order to learn the art of picking up, you must first work on yourself. The truth of the matter is, there are no such things as pick up lines. If you want to be able to pick up beautiful women, you have to be the person that all women are attracted to. You have to work on what you have to do right and work on those that you are doing wrong.

Wrongs

• Wuss
  As David DeAngelo points out, this is one of the biggest turn off for a woman. Women want men who have a strong character. Not the type of guys who easily gives in to people. You have to be confident and possess a strong will – someone who don’t let people use or abuse your generosity,  who freely share opinions and have something logical to say, and don’t just agree with what others think. These has a lot to do with confidence and frame of mind – two major areas we will get further into later.
• Rapport seeking
  Don’t be the guy always seeking rapport from people. You don’t need validation from anyone but yourself. You have to be confident and happy with who you are.
• Value Sucker
  When you are with people, you become a highly-valued person, have something to offer. This is an easy mistake to make. Anyone can hang out with beautiful women but you cannot attract anyone without offering some form of value. You cannot succeed at this game just by being a good listener. Add to the conversations and group dynamics.
• Standards
  You are not a guy looking for just anything. Have standards for the type of women you would like to date. This comes in handy for when you are qualifying her. Don’t just go for anything that walks by, definitely try approaching and getting more information on a person, but keep your mind on the type of person you want to date. If you have high standards, then you would get only the type of women you want in your life and don’t settle for less. 
• Awkward
  Girls fear socially awkward situations. Ensure you avoid socially awkward situations wherever possible. Keep the conversations light and rolling about interesting, emotional, and attractive topics. Never let a conversation die. Always keep talking, in this situation anything is better than nothing. Control the atmosphere and don’t let anything become awkward. Nothing is awkward unless you let the feeling of awkwardness take over. Be confident in what you do and say, and don’t be embarrassed to be yourself.
