There are some ground rules that we must begin with before starting a text. Although having said that they are more guides but you should follow them and adapt them to your own personality. Don’t start a text message with rapport seeking keywords. This wastes characters and is a DLV (Demonstration of lower value). Such rapport seeking keywords are: LOL, yeah, haha, etc. You should also avoid ending your sms’s with a smiley face nor xoxo these are both demonstrating too much interest before she has invested into your text messages. Within text game we are trying to stand out from the crowd. Most guys will send the stereotypical “hey it was nice meeting you, we should hang out sometime” or some variation of this. We have to DHV in our text and be humours and fun.

Much like when conversing with a women try to avoid questions, stick with statements where ever possible. If at all possible try and build suspense so she wants to reply and gets eager to read your messages. Tell her that you noticed something about her but don’t let her know what that is, or tell her you have this great idea for something to do on Saturday but she cant find out until the day when you tell her in person. Note if you have a surprise date setup for her make sure you give hints that suggest she will be safe

You should also have saved your number in her phone as something funny e.g. “Future ex-boyfriend”, “Pure Awesomeness”, “That sexy guy”. This way when she receives a message or call from you its immediately interesting and funny.

Techniques

• Use pet names 
  Throughout an interaction you may have used a pet name for a girl, eg omg your such a brat / you remind me of of this girl i met traveling her name was cat, in fact from now on I’m going to call you cat. There are many ways you can give her a pet name in an interaction. Using this pet name will instantly remind her of you and bring her back into the state of mind she had when she was talking with you.
• Call back humor 
  This is another way to remind her who you are, and bring her back to that state of mind that she was in when she was last talking to you. What you can do is call back on a joke that was made during your interaction, for example if she asked where you live during the initial interaction and you said “omg are you going to stalk me! well you can be my number 6 stalker. but you have to be friendly to the others that hang out side my window.. there’s only so much trees you can hide behind”. For call back humor you can say “hey i just heard something outside my bedroom window and i was wondering if that was my #6 stalker!”
• Joke
  Feel free to joke in messages, make her laugh when she reads it. She will be much more wanting to reply to you message if its somewhat random or funny.  
• Sign off
  You should always sign off with your name in the first text. This avoids the “who is this” reply which will instantly lower your value. Alternatively you can sign off as the funny name you saved in her phone and drop your name in the following text conversations, but only do this if you have also used a pet name or callback humor.

• “Hey cutie <or other nickname>, I went to an after party last night, what did you get up to – <your name> p.s. do you like toasted marshmallows”

  “Im having a DVD night this Tuesday with wine and toasted marshmallows. What are you better at choosing, movies or wine?”
• “I’m in my penthouse, listening to Mozart, thinking of you… Not really I’m out with my mates having a drink, but I was thinking of you”

Setting up dates

Before looking to setup a date you have to ensure that you have high enough attraction and comfort levels. If you have not built up enough attraction and comfort with the girl then there is less of a chance she will go on a date with you. As a rule you should call her at least once just to talk before attempting to setup a date. Even if you both have already organized the date just give her a call to talk sometime before calling her again to organize the date. We do this because girls talk on the phone differently to guys. We will call to make plans and are very straight to the point, whereas girls are more into having a fun chat over the phone and will sometimes organise a date after some laughs and talks.

A great tool you can use while setting up a date is assume she is going to come. for example “I’m having a DVD night this Tuesday with wine and toasted marshmallows. What are you better at choosing, movies or wine?”, this text is already assuming she is coming. This is a form of frame control where we assume she is coming. If you have the dominant frame then she will accept it.

If worst comes to worst and you believe that she is very likely to flake on you because she wasn’t sure if she was going to come or she said she had something else on and might come then a good strategy to get her to come on a future date is to call it off first. This may seem immature but is a great way to come across as not being needy, and to show that you too have an interesting life. Call it off because you have something else that popped up and suggest you should do something another time, but do not specify when. e.g. “Hey, I’m really sorry but I cant make it today, we’ll have to do it another time”
